There’s no need to be bored between the December festivities, as you can travel with our Winter Express from Goes to Hoedekenskerke, where you will be welcomed in Winter Wonderland atmospheres. Trains run on 27, 28 and 29 December.
You can choose between different departure times from Goes and between different trains:
Before your journey begins, you can already look around our museum grounds in Goes. There you can visit the workshop, the signal box and the train house, among other things! You are welcome from 10:00 a.m., but please come at least half an hour before your train leaves.
About 35 minutes after leaving Goes, you will arrive in Hoedekenskerke. There you will find our self-service restaurant, souvenir shop, model railway tracks and costumes in ‘De Buffer’. In good weather, you can take a tour of the park on the miniature train outside.
Extra in ‘De Buffer’ on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 December (not on Friday 27 December):
The snowman welcomes everyone to the musical sounds of the choir.
The extras from our extras group ‘Ontspoord’ will be present and dressed in Dickens-style. They will play games with the children in winter atmosphere. Children can get their faces painted and marshmallows can be roasted outside.
Take a beautiful or crazy winter photo in the photobooth!
From Hoedekenskerke, you can also travel back to Goes by several trains:
After about a 35-minute ride, you will be back in Goes, where you can still visit the museum grounds until 17:30 if you like.
