Railway to the past 2019. May 30 and 31; June 1

A splendid event for all ages!

In the open air museum in Goes you will feel as if you have gone back into another era. Vintage steam and diesel engines are coming by, offering you the possibility to make a beautiful journey through National Park “De zak van Zuid-Beveland”.

Museum “Stoomtrein Goes-Borsele” tells you the story of the Dutch railways in the thirties. Especially for the event “Railway to the past” the normal museum program is expanded with lots of attractions and activities. Steam loco "Cockerill", steam loco "Magda", steam loco "Ooievaar" and steam loco "Tom" will be our special guests during the event.

During the event you can visit our workshop!

Shunting trains, steam engines riding to the depot to get water and coal: Railroad activities were lively in those days, never the same, but hard work! In restaurant “Uitspanning de Goederenloods” you can blow off some of your own steam. With a drink or during lunch you can study the program and make your plans for the day.
